Junior Astronomer Program The Canadian Junior Astronomer Program is a new initiative to introduce astronomy to students - and those young at heart! - by providing them with basic observing goals (such as "Draw the constellation Orion") and research goals (how old is the universe?). This is an exciting way to start as an amateur astronomer, or to foster an growing interest. Junior Astronomer candidates complete tasks they choose themselves in order to complete up to three levels: Star (most basic), Nova and Supernova (most difficult). When finished, they will receive a certificate and have their name added to this website as a Canadian Junior Astronomer. Select one of the links below for more information, and to see the lists of tasks! Clear Skies!
